Do your records of the Perks family go back to around 1713? I have a marriage between Jonathan Paynter (b.1713) and Elizabeth Perks in Redruth Cornwall. I have been told that Perks is not a Cornish name and that her family actually came from Worcester. Jonathan Paynter was affiliated with the Cornish tin mines and when they began to close down, he and 4 sons moved to Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales. Jonathan Paynter - left Redruth, Cornwall in 1760s + Elizabeth (nee Perks) married in 1734 and had 4 sons (I-IV) ....I.
