Jim - According to a book I have, "Good Morning Mr. Featherstone? 700 Years of Perkinson Family History," an Archibald Perkinson married Amy Harwell (21 years of age) on Sept. 6, 1790 at St. Andrew's Parish by Rev. Thomas Lundie. St Andrew's is located somewhere in Brunswick County, Va. Supposedly, Archibald was sometimes referred to as "Archer," and was the son of Isham Perkinson. On page 213, the text says, "Archibald and Amy Elizabeth left Brunswick Co. and moved to Henry Co., Va. about 1802 or 1803. They had a son named William, b. 1804, married Ferbe Lawrence on Jan. 10, 1825, in Henry County., Va. and Archibald sold his land in Henry Co. to his son William in 1835 - that's the last we know of Archibald." Although my book is written by Eula Thomas Perkinson, this information was provided by Charles E. Ray of Macon, Mo. Mr. Ray later states, "Sometime after 1835 and before 1840, Amy Elizabeth Perkinson, widow of Archibald, with sons William and Hezekiah, daughters Martha Fleming and Olly Gothard, all with families, migrated to what is now Cedar Co., MO." Hope this is helpful.
