Perkins from England to NC in 1700's
I have a line of Perkins' starting with my Gr Grand father Clarkson Cornelius Perkins b. 1868, d. 1941 in Anderson IN, his father Junius b. 1830 in Guilford Co. NC, d. 1888 in Hamilton, IN, then his father William Perkins b. 1806 Guilford Co., NC, d. 1875 in Hamilton, IN.
Those facts are consistent in many family trees, but there is a family legend that says Clarkson Cornelius' Gr Grand father came from England. (Poine England, which I can't find ever existed, according to one living relative who got that from some deceased relatives word of mouth)
Can anyone shed some light on the line before William Perkins and how (or who of) this bunch got here from England?
