Looking for information on Letha PERKINS and her brother Joseph Samuel "Joe" PERKINS. I have no idea where they were born or when they arrived in Atoka, OK, because this was never talked about in the family. I have heard one family member say they thought they might have been raised by an Indian woman with the last name of SUMMERS, but have never been able to find anything to prove that. Letha was born Jan. 27, 1877 and died May 23, 1944 in Morris, OK. and is buired in the Cussetah Cemetery (an old Indian cemetery) somewhere near Morris, OK. Joseph was born May 4, 1878 and died Dec. 9, 1945 at Hess, OK. and his son, Jude "J. A." Perkins took his body somewhere to eastern Oklahoma for burial but I don't know where.
Any help would be appreciated.
