Vermont- Descendants of John Perkins

My questions revolve around the Perkins and Cootware families of the Grand Isle and Burlington Shelburne area of Vermont.

The Perkins family are descendants of John Perkins senior born abt 1848 in New York who was married to a Sophia unknown maiden name...suspect Cootware. Who's children where John, Emma, William and Arthur. John Perkins junior born about 1871 in New York who married Margaret maiden name unknown and who's children where Raymond, Ella and Florence.

I am seeking information on the descendants of Florence S. Perkins born abt 1904 in Vermont (Burlington Shelburne area) and Joseph Allen possibly born about 1895 in Georgia and firm evidence of the Maiden Names of Margaret and Sophia.

My questions also involve the Cootware families that migrated south from Quebec to the Grand Isle and Burlington areas of Vermont .
In particular the Charles Cootware (Courtois) senior born abt 1820 who was apparently married to a Sophia maiden name unkown who produced the following children
Charles Born abt 1845 who married Julia Pecor
Mary Ann
William
Sophia Cootware born about 1850
There appears to be some conflicting information about Sophia (senior)…a grave stone that indicates she was born in 1830 and died in 1862 in the Grand Isle Cemetery. A maiden name with conflicting birth information.
Census records showing Charles married to Sophia and having the above listed children
Later Census records indicating Charles married to a Sopha…after 1862 and having a different set of children.
Both Charles' appear to be the same age.
So are these the same Charles who married a second wife having a similar name?
Are these two separate Charles'
Are they related and if they are how?
Is this Sophia totally unrelated to the one in the grave yard who died in 1862? And so Charles actually had the same wife Sophia who did not die in 1862 and produced all the children …this is unlikely since the birth dates of Sophia and Sopha do not match.
Does anyone have firm evidence of Sophia (seniors) maiden name and birth and death information?
My next question involves Sophia Cootware born 1850…does anyone have any links to this Sophia Cootware. I am suspecting that she may have married John Perkins born abt 1848 and produced the following children John Pekins, Emma, William, Arthur. Does anyone out there know for certain who her spouse was?
Finally, does anyone out there know more about the pre-history of this family Cootware family. The parents of Charles (senior) and Sophia (senior) … where in New York Charles and Sophia were born?...what part of Quebec they originated from…where in France? Any leads are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gillian
