Timothy Perkins recorded in the Town Clerk Notes of Adams (later Jackson) NH his birthdate on February 25, 1772, his marriage on 10/9/1792 in Conway, NH to Mary Gentleman (b. 6/10/1769) and the names and birthdates of their children in Jackson, NH: John Y b. 12/9/1793; Lemuel b.8/12/1795; Abigail b.8/12/1797;George F b. 10/9/1799; Paul b. 9/28/1801; Lydia b. 8/14/1803; Silas M b. 8/24/; Mary b. 8/15/1807 and Betsy M b 9/16/1809.
I have run into a wall determining Timothy's parents, although his grandson William Gentleman Perkins wrote in a sketch of his life that his grandfather was English and born in NH. The Historical Soc in Jackson told me they thought that Timothy had come from Madbury to Adams( Jackson). Help would be appreciated on anything about this family. Son John Y Perkins married Nancy Potter and Lemuel married Lucretia Gentleman and after she died he married Mehitable Pomeroy.
