Henry Kirk White Perkins, died in Somerville, Mass, Wednesday. He was born in Penobscot, Maine, Nov. 21st, 1814, was educated at Kent's Hill Seminary, and in 1837 went as a missionary to the Indians in Oregon, making the voyage by vessel around Cape Horn, remaining until 1844, when he returned to Maine and preached several years. He then removed to Massachusetts, where he labored indepently, preaching and exhorting as opportunity offered. As long as his strenght would permit, he stood at his post near the Park Street Church, giving out tracts and religious reading. ------------------------------------- I am not related, and I have NO further information to provide.
