I am looking for more information on the Perkins family in South Carolina. My nearest link is Calvin Perkins b. ca. 1806, SC, d. ca 1863, MS. He married Louise Allen Blakeney b. ca . 1817, SC, d. ca. 1869, MS. The family is found in Lowndes County, MS in the 1840,1850 & 1860 Census. Based on children’s birthdates, the family moved to MS about 1840. The first child, James B. Perkins was born 1839 in SC. Second child Mary Louise Perkins was born 1841 in MS. Other children Amelia b.1845, Hampton b.1847, Calvin b. 1851, Luther b. 1854, Caroline b. 1857, all born in MS.
I have been unable to find Calvin and Louise and their relations in South Carolina.
