Barb,
No problem doing this, you caught me on a good day when bordom had set in and I had nothing better to do.:)
Here are some suggestions to follow up on the information I posted.
1. Contact the Sandwich,Carroll Co.,N.H. Town Historian to ask for any information he/she might be able to dig up or might have a file on. Check here to see if you can find any data or at least post to find out how to contact the town historian. http://www.rootsweb.com/~nhcarrol/http://www.rootsweb.com/~nhcarrol/
2. Visit your local library or a library that has microfiche readers. Order the Land & Property records for Carroll Co.,NH 1820-1890. The soundex for the surname of PERKINS is P-625.Look for the Land Purchase and Land sale of men named JOHN PERKINS, preferably @ Sandwich,Carroll Co.,NH. You might have to order two or more films for this time period. Also, the films may be split in two or more films for (I think this is the correct term) of TRUSTEE and TRUSTOR aka.. SELLER/PURCHASER of Land.
I have a feeling that you may find that a JOHN PERKINS sold or gave land to a GEORGE PERKINS @ Sandwich,NH. So keep your eyes open for George also.
3. Order the film for Carroll Co.,NH - WILL & PROBATE records for the years of 1895-1910. Look for JOHN PERKINS probate record.
4. Check OSSIPEE,Carroll Co.,NH death records for CHARLES S. PERKINS, son of John & Eunice (Littlefield) Perkins. Check local Cemeteries in Ossipee,NH to locate the burial site of Charles to obtain a date of death. Once obtained, ask for help in locating a possible obituary on him.
Dig deep into Carroll Co.,NH records. I believe that is where your answers are.
Please keep me posted on your findings. Thanks..
Sincerely,
Denise Perkins Ready
