Perales Family Genealogy Forum

Greetings Wayne. My grandparents Antonio Perales and Juana Rivas were from Durango, where Antonio worked on the Rivas estancia. They had to leave Durango due to his politica ( he was , I am told, a spy for the revolucion). He had been a carnicero. Does this sound like the Perales family that you know? I am told that my father Juan Francisco (John Frank Perales, d. Feb. 2003) was born just the "other side of the border in 1918, when the family was approaching Texas, which would be June of 1918. By the way, a note on the spelling of Perales. My uncle Manuel changed his name to Peralez due to being mistaken too often for being Portuguese, as he was proud to be a mexicano and would have it no other way. Thank you for any assistance in tis search.
