I beg your pardon, I have two lists. One transcribed by the lady in Walton that sent the copies. I received the transcription before the copies. I have both lists but typed this posting from the transcription because it was so much easier to read and she must have just tucked him in as notation. It appears Sunberry is not on the grandchildren's list but listed on the voucher list. This is what she writes:
"Sunberry Pepper was an executor of the will for John Pepper Sr. Sunberry died before he could execute his duties. He died around April 9, 1866. Green W. Smith was appointed on this day to take over duties of Sunberry Pepper."
After the list this goes on with a listing of vouchers. #8 says: $50.00 Received of Green W. Smith admr. De bon...?the Estate of John Pepper deceased fifty dollars for professional services rendered to Sunsberry Pepper as Administrator of John Pepper deceased and which sum I Have ? out of ? money collected by me for said estate July 20th 1869 The name C.D. Davis is listed here.
Do you know the relationship of C. D. Davis. to Sunsberry Pepper?
Sorry for any confusion. There is a lot here to digest and I would like to get it out as accurately as possible.
