My name is Loraine (Laurie ) Pepin Kimmell. My brother and I are decendents of Joseph Pepin and Matilda Morrisette too.
Joseph and Matilda had 11 children of which Matilda ( married name Bailiff ) was born 5-7-1855 per our records. I know she had 2 daughters, Mathida and Stella ( a nun ..I have at least one picture in old albums ) and two sons whom I think lived in Florida near present day Disney World.
Our records show that Joseph's father was Anthony Pepin, who was a black smith at Fort Snelling. ( St Paul area )
My grandfather, Anthony Baptiste Pepin was born to Matilda and Joseph on 5/7/1866. Died in Minneapolis Oct 1933. My father, Milton Pepin was son of AnthonyB.
Another son of Joseph and Matilda was Julian Theodore whose grandsons were close to my brother and I while we were growing up in the Mpls /St Paul area circa 1942-56.
Where do you live now ? My family lives in Dallas, Texas now and my brother Jim and his wife Cheryl live in VA.
