Elizabeth W. 'Peggy' Peoples, 86, of Morristown, TN, passed away February 26, 2009, at her residence. She was the first cook for the Sr. Nutrition program, and was also the first church hostess for the First Presbyterian Church of Morristown. Born December 22, 1922, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Peoples, Jr., and daughter, Jenny Sparrow. Survivors include, daughters, Kathy Boatman of Morristown, TN, and Suzanne Peoples of West Palm Beach, FLA; son, Steve (Debbee) Peoples of New Market, TN; grandchildren, Lindsay (Andrew) Bennett of Knoxville, TN, Stacey Sparrow of Johnson City, TN, Rob (Jennifer) Spirko of Maryville, TN, Michael Spirko of Knoxville, TN, Nick (Alyson) Spirko of Rogersville, TN, Shawn (Stacie) Peoples of Knoxville, TN, Stephanie Peoples of New Market, TN; five great-grand- children; and special friend, Sally Baker. The family would like to extend special thanks to the First Presbyterian Church family, and Mary Thomas and her family for their special care. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, February 28, 2009, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Mayes Family Services of Morristown, TN. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church of Morristown with the Rev. Gary Kelly officiating. Interment to follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
