Hi there, Were your Mcelhinney's RC?
I have been searching for mine for quite
some time, I have reason to believe they where latterly
from the Townland of Bellanascaddan,Nr.Letter,
Kilmacrenan Parish. My GG Grandmother b betw.1810 -
1820? was Sarah Mcelhinney (any variant on surname)
Sarah Mcelhinney m James Boyle - both were deaceased
before 1887 - Their daughter - Sarah Boyle b 1855/56
m Parick McHugh/Mccue b 1854/55 Drumnaraw,Clondahorky
Parish. They were married in 1874 St.Columba's RC
Kilmacrenan. Family forenames : Charles/Henry (Harry)
John/Sarah/Hannah/David/Robert/Martha/Margaret/James/
/Patrick and Mary. My G Grandparents migrated to
Glasgow Scotland, soon after they were married.
Quite a number of the above childen, emigrated from
Glasgow to Philadelphia.

Does anything sound at all familiar?
thank you
Anne - Edinburgh
