Have You Checked on the Peebles GenForum Board;
Messages # 386 and # 707 ??

I have Him in my files [ NOT VERIFIED ]as Rev. Joel Peebles son of;
William Henry Peebles and Elizabeth Ivey,how ever I have Wm. & Elizabeth's marriage date as Aug 12, 1811, which then, as now don't mean to much.

Strange why some people change their names, a case in point,
Proven records list;
Seth Peeples of Guilford Co. N.C.,he went to Tn. and changed names to Smith Peoples all Civil War records and his life in Ar. etc, he is listed as Smith Peoples. All his desendents are Peoples.
