Here is what I think I know about Rebecca Penuel -- She is believed to have been the daughter of William B. Penuel because his was the only elder Peneul family in Houston County, Georgia at the time she was married. She married Lewis Davis in Houston County, Georgia on February 22, 1838. They had the following children: John Bell Davis was born on Feb 18 1839 in Houston County, Georgia. He died on Mar 18 1923 in Houston County, Alabama and was buried in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. John married Sarah Adeline Holmes, daughter of William Holmes Jr. and Sarah, on Jan 21 1858 in Barbour County, Alabama. Sarah was born on May 23 1842 in Barbour County. She died on Apr 15 1920 in Houston County and was buried in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Josiah Davis was born on Aug 18 1841 in Georgia. Josiah married Martha Kilpatrick on Jan 24 1866 in Barbour County, Alabama. Martha was born in Apr 1840 in Alabama. Mary Ann Davis was born sometime during 1842-1844 in Georgia. Richard Davis was born in Oct 1852 in Barbour County, Alabama. Richard married (1) Amanda on Feb 7 1874 in Barbour County. Amanda was born about 1850 in Alabama. Richard also married (2) Dora in 1895 or 1896 in Barbour County. Dora was born in Aug 1868 in Alabama. Amanda Elizabeth Davis was born on Mar 2 1856 in Barbour County, Alabama. She died on Sep 7 1916 and was buried in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Dale County, Alabama. Amanda married Erasmus Dasinger on Nov 28 1872 in Barbour County, Alabama. Erasmus was born in Jan 1846 in Alabama. P. S. Davis was born in 1858 or 1859 in Barbour County, Alabama. Her name was probably Philopena or some similar variation of Penelope. Leah Catherine Davis was born on May 30 1862 in Barbour County, Alabama. She died on Jul 6 1944 and was buried in Wiggins Baptist Church Cemetery in Dale County, Alabama. Leah married Jesse Dasinger on Dec 9 1880 in Barbour County. Jesse was born on Mar 6 1849 in Alabama. He died on Nov 25 1923 and was buried in Wiggins Baptist Church Cemetery.
