Catey/Catherine's maiden name has still not been determined as far as I know. A couple years ago, it was speculated that she and at least one son were in the household of a Williams in southern Dinwiddie. I personally believe that this is probably accurate but I have not found any cemetery records that would support the idea and of course the county records are toast.
I'm at a total loss to explaine the tax situation. I always thought these were poll taxes but perhaps they were not yet freeholders.
Even though they will not ever acknowlege it, I think all the "old" Dinwiddie LEWISes are related.
