Well, it is early in the morning and I totally left this info out of the first post. An "Israel Penrod" is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, North Manchester, IN - could this be the son of Israel Penrod, grandson of our John Penrod?
The dates and what info we have would appear so.
Here is the inscription, etc from the marker, again for findagrave.com:

Birth: Dec. 15, 1792
Death: Dec. 28, 1885
SON OF ISREAL PENROD
Burial:

North Manchester
Wabash County
Indiana, USA
