As I mentioned in the earlier post, I don't know if there exists enough info to ever resolve this dilemma. I can offer one tidbit you may find useful: A website findagrave.com reveals a "John Penrod, b. 1726 and d. Apr. 13, 1799" is buried at Ed Pritts Farm, Somerset Co., PA. This info is taken from the tombstone I think as in the inscription "Husband of Catherine Barrone Penrod."

Birth: 1726
Frederick County
Maryland, USA
Death: Apr. 13, 1799
Milford (Somerset County)
Somerset County
Pennsylvania, USA

Husband of Catherine Barrone Penrod

Pennsylvania, USA

I am planning to try and visit Penrod, KY end of June and do a bit more research there. If anyone reading has any further hard data re these Penrod families please share with all of us.
