I have just begun searching this line of my family. I have read over and over the penrod forum postings and have viewed the LDS Family Search site and am confused as to the correct link on part of this family. I agree with what you have posted as the children of John and Catherine (Barrone) Penrod and here begins my confusion with their son, David born 1756 who married Barbara Shontz. I find from several contributors assign the following 13 names (some say only 11) as children of David and Barbara: Eliza, Elijah, Isaac, Sarah, Buelah, Polly, David [born 1775 married Margaret (Peggy) Ritter], Julia Ann, Polly, Amy, Mary, Jacob, and Lydia. On several sites, I find these same names listed as the children of John Penrod who married Sarah Davis or David, this John being the son of John and Catherine (Barrone) Penrod. Can someone tell me if these names are the children of John (2)and Sarah or if they are the children of David and Barbara? I am actually a descendant of David and Barbara's son, David (1775) who married Margaret Ritter through their daughter Elizabeth who married Henry Beane. I'd appreciate knowing some sources to site, as well.
