After searching myself for ancestors, and seeing more people in forums like this wanting to know more about relatives, I thought I'd contribute a bulk of information about a Penrod branch that might be a missing link for some. As one relative put it, "You know you're a Penrod when you're few and far between." I've begun the list with the oldest I've found and moved down through the family tree to me.
1) John Penrod & Catherine Barrone of PA had:
David b. 1756, d. 1836 (married Barbara Shontz)
John b. 1748, d. 1836 (married Sarah David)
Mary b. 1750, d. 1815 (in Montgomery, VA)
Peter b. 1754, d ?
Tobias b. circa 1758, d. 1800 (married Catherine, moved to Muhlenberg KY)
Emanuel b. 1760, d. 1843
Isreal b. 1764, d. 1843 (eventually moved to OH)
Samuel b. 1766, d. ?
Elijah b. 1768, d. ?
Druscilla b. 1756, d. 1803 (moved to Muhlenberg County, KY)
Solomon b. 1752, d. 1812 (married Sarah, no last name given; moved to Logan or Muhlenberg County KY)
[Quick note: Logan County KY eventually formed parts of Muhlenberg County]
