omg, dode penrod i am so glad to have found you! i am so at a dead end on my penrods. let me tell you what i have: john henderson penrod b. 10-17-1846 ky. m. elizabeth hodges b. 6-3-1853 in. both died in ky but lived much time in ill. john was a miner and in 1880 census shows his father and mother were b. ky. 1720-1926 ky marriage index shows john penrod m. sarah hall 3-26-1835 union co. ky also an elizabeth penrod m. henry hall 3-14-1835 on john henderson's marriage john and sarah are listed as his parents. i assume john and elizabeth penrod are related, i know sarah and henry hall are siblings, but the older john on an early census indicates he does not know where his parents were b. this john is said to have died b. 1851 and sarah remarried. searching every penrod who would have lived in ky when this john was b. around 1800 with a possible sibling named elizabeth i found tobias and catherine. as tobias would have died when this john was small perhaps relatives raised him. but, also solomon had a john and elizabeth (who was once m. to a hall) however this john lived to a ripe old age. i wish someone could help me find john penrod's ( who m. sarah in 1835 )parents. very little is said about tobias' children who were george, john, elizabeth, and one other male. this is why this possibility appeals more to me. please help, rhonda
