HANNAH PENNINGTON - NATIVE AMERICAN?

Hannah Pennington 1837-1926, Theophilus and Penelope (Jones)Pennington's daughter, is my gg grandmother. I was told by my grandmother that she was Native American. Both my grandmother and g grandmother had strong Native American features. This family lived in Pulaski, KY. Hanna's siblings were Elizabeth, John, Arad, Simon, Huriah/Uriah, William, and Craig.

I am unable to find anything, anywhere that says she was Native American. Does anyone have any information about this or pictures of her or her family?
