Pennington-Stivers Family

Just thought I would leave some info on Dora May and Virginia Susan Pennington's husband Edward Stivers. He is actually Edward P. Stivers born 1862 in Jefferson Co., KY to a very large Stivers Family.
His Parents are Felix and Etna Stivers. He was previously married to a Rosa A Chappell, when he divorced a few months prior to his marriage to Dora May Pennington in 1890. From his first marriage to Rosa, he had two sons but he was an absent father. He often traveled back to Macon Co., Illinois to visit is extended family of brothers and sisters. He is written about at least three times in the Decatur Review Newspaper. One of the news articles mentions his hometown in Texas. He did work for the railroad and this was common knowledge handed down in my family.
Edward at first appeared to be a very elusive ancestor to follow because he relocated a few times and because his middle initial did not appear on all census records and when it did it looked like the letter "L" which some genealogist from the Pennington family suggested it as "Lawrence or Laurence". Edward is my gg grand dad. His name had been recorded in my gg grans family bible which had been handed down to my aunt. I hope this clears up his background.
