I am looking for information regarding my great grandmother Clara Alice (Rainey) Spaid (b. 3/1/1871 – Chest Twp; d 4/1/1947). She told us she was 1/2 Indian and said it was Seneca. Her parents were: Robert Rainey Jr (b. 1843; d 1914) and Hannah (Pennington) Rainey
(b. 2-15-1846; d 1-28-1888). I have traced the ancestry lines back a few generations, and it is possible the indian could have come from the surname Rainey, Pennington, Michael, or Way.
