Hi Charles
Thanks for replying. I am not sure if I am related to any Campbells. Since I last posted my message to you I found the following information. I have not yet determined if this is the Isaac Penny I am looking for.

North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868
Bride: Eliza Franks
Groom: Isaac Penny
Bond Date: 25 Dec 1829
County: Wake
Record #: 02 394
Bondsman: Michael Peny
Witness: B S King
Bond #: 000156680

I am wondering if Michael Peny should have been Penny. I have found a Michael Penny in 1830, 1840 and 1850 Wake County, NC census. I corresponded with another Penny researcher and she says she has on file a Michael and Isaac Penny being the children of an elder Isaac Penny. If this is the Isaac Penny I am looking for, the marriage year would have been about the right time frame. I have found several Franks families living in the Hardin County, TN area including some from NC. But don't know if there is a connection yet. I also found a marriage listing for:

Franks, Lewis m Penny, Elizabeth Oct. 20, 1835 Wake County, NC. I wonder if this may be relative of Isaac Penny who married Eliza Franks. Do you by chance have any information on a Michael Penny?

Sincerely
Phyllis Rea
