There were Penners in KY before 1850, I found the following Penners in Warren Co., KY in 1830 Peter Penner, John Penner, John Penner and Christian Penner. In Jefferson Co., KY there was a Hychard Penner in 1830.
In 1820 Christopher Penner was in Warren Co., KY
In 1840 I find Isaac Penner in Butler Co., KY and Peter Penner in Warren Co., KY.
Martin W. Hawks married Elizabeth Penner in Warren Co., KY in Oct. of 1834. She was born abt. 1804, She may have been married to a Penner before she married Martin, or she could have been a Penner by blood, I am not certain.
