I am seeking help with my Martin Hawks and Elizabeth Penner. I know they were in Hopkins Co. KY in 1840 and 1850 I found them on a census there. I can't find them before 1840 and I can't find him after 1850. They lived in district 2 in Hopkins County, KY; (I think Martin may be the son of William Hawks/Hawkes and Rebecca Laffoon from Green Co. KY) there were Laffoon's living in district 1 of Hopkins County, KY in 1830, 1840 and 1850. Martin was born abt. 1796, Elizabeth was born abt. 1804 he married (second marriage I think) Elizabeth Penner on Oct. 15, 1834. They had two children that I am aware of William T. Hawks abt. 1840, and Martin Hawks abt. 1843. There are two additional females in the house with them on the 1850 census Elizabeth Hawks age 26 and Mary A. Hawks age 24. I think these may be daughters of Martin's by a previous marriage. I think my Martin maybe the same Martin that was married to Ann Dobson. Any help?
