I am searching for information on the family of John Penn. I assume that he was in Oglethorpe or Greene Co Georgia in the early 1800s. He was married to Elizabeth ??
Family history says that they had 4 children: Matilda, Eliza, Thomas and Mary.
Matlida:
Family history says that his daughter Matlida married first a William Bell Rainey and then second William Edmondson.
William Edmondson was born near Bairdstown GA in Oglethorpe Co., September 3, 1794 he died December 31, 1882. He too married twice. His first wife was Dina English, she was born July 12, 1794 and died September 8, 1831.
William Edmondson married Matilda Penn Rainey on January 9, 1832. They had six children, Eliza Washington, Lucinda, Mary Carolyn, John Penn, Matilda Julia and James T.
Eliza:
Eliza Penn married Hamilton McWhorter they had six children, William Penn who married Sallie Cradoch: they had one child Jessie who married Dr. John L. Durham they had 12 children; Sallie, Lou, Nellie, Willie, Walker, Penn, Louise, Mary, Johnie, Estes, Virginia and Ben
Thomas
Thomas Penn went to Ala his wife name was Emuree (Missy’s note: illegible could be Emily)
Mary:
Mary Penn married Jackson Graham. They had 4 children; Alise, Albert, ?,?
This is all I have on the chidren of John and Elizabeth Penn.
