Janice:

Sorry, it took so long to respond to your note.

I am excited to find a link to the East Coast Penleys and especially from the Glouchestershire. It has been difficult.

I have a note on the family tree. 'Francis Thorpe Penley was Vicar at Glouchestershire Dursley England for 23 years and is buried in the church yard there.'

He was married twice. His first wife was Marrianne Knott. One of their sons Ed Mortimer (m. Anne Lapham) their son George m. Ethel Monk in Colorado.

I have quite a bit of information from here on. I have been in correspondence with the Monk family and relatives of Anne Cole Baker (m. Arthur L. Monk, Sr. (their son Arthur L. Monk, Jr is the mother of Francis Ethel).

But nothing on how they came to Colorado.

If you would like to arrange to exchange info, please contact me at delenc@msn.com

Thanks!
