Hi Antonio Maria Ticianeli,

I know of two josefa (Josephine) in our family tree. One was born 12 Feb 1845 but died elsewhere--I do not know if it could be Italy but there was a Maria Penko born 2 Aug 1833 in Slovenia. She went to Mal Falcone, Italy in l861 but the only information I have about her is she died and was buried in Italy. There was also a Maria born 17 Nov 1879 and died elsewhere--unknown where. That is all the data I have on these people. Should the dates of birth match maybe it could be further looked into. Sorry I could not be of much help to you. There were many Penko families in the area near Italian border and came from various villages in Slovenia. If I hear of anyone being from Trieste I will let you know. Also if you wish to email me
and give me your email address I would get in touch with you if I ever learned of a Penko born in Trieste, Italy.
Good luck in your search. Jennie
