It is our goal to centralize all data related to the various spellings of Penick/Penix etc.
Usually there are several hundred people or more researching the same family at any given time. Each researcher has information, clues or helpful hints that are only privy to him or her. Usually they will have material handed down to them from other family members etc that only they have. Most of them eventually hit a brick wall in there research because the little tidbits of information thay have often just don't have enough supporting information. Not to mention not every knows where you are at in your process and you end up having to ask very specific questions to get the info you need. The problem with that is you never know what piece of info will lead to what you are looking for therefor how do you know which questions to ask. This is very common. What we are trying to accomplish is to combine all these documents, stories, tidbits and clues etc to paint a larger picture. In my experience when several pieces of similar data are combined together it usually leads to a solution or a discovery that you simply cannot get from individual pieces of data. We hope this will lead to opening new avenues of research and many new discoveries. We also hope that having this information available to all Penick/Penix researchers will provide some fresh new perspectives that may also help further our collective research.
