I am looking for imofrmation on my Grandmother Mary Luella Penix. The info I have on her is she was born 2 March 1884 in Lamar (Cabin Creek) Johnston Co. Arkansas. Her father was William Penix and her mother was Arkie Carolina Smith Sigman. These are the names I have don't know if they are accurate. She married Benjamin Ashing had one son then married my grandfather Silas Gilstrap, they had seven children one of which was my father Orville. She had a brother named Walter. Her mother was supposed to be Cherokee. This is all that I know about her. Can anyone help? Karen
