There was also a PINNIX HOWLETT who was born ca1754 and taxed in Lunenburg Co., VA in 1775 (spelled PINNIX HOWLETT), was in Edgefield, SC by 1790 (PINNIX HOWLETT), was in Abbeville, SC by 1800 (PENNIX HOWLETT) and died testate between 1815 and 1837 in Abbeville, SC (only saw an index of wills with him listed as PINNIX HOWLETT having left will in Abbeville).I'm guessing this Pinnix Howlett's mother was a Pinnix born ca1730-35.She could have been a dau of John Penick who died 1735 Hanover Co. but could also have been a dau of William Penix and Judith PATE of Amelia Co., VA.None of William's daughters (Jerusha, Judith or Elizabeth) were married when William wrote his will in 1750 (though Jerusha soon after married Pugh PRICE).So possibly William's dau Elizabeth Penix or maybe dau Judith Penix married a HOWLETT.I'd be extremely grateful for any further info on this family.
