Seeking info on Auburn Hill, property apparently given to John Pendleton, great-nephew of Edmund Pendleton of Edmundsbury (the statesman.)
In my own family history, our Thomas Richerson is supposed to have devised Auburn Hill to his orphan Reuben Broaddus Richerson in 1819.
Nov. 1789, Edmund gave to John 10,000 acres, bounded by Bottle Swamp or Mill Swamp. Could this be the land of Auburn Hill?
I have much research to do to see how our Richerson acquired the property from John Pendleton.
Any leads appreciated!
