Hi Eric! Long time no hear. I am going to Patrick County tommorrow with some of my cousins to visit some of the old Pendleton stomping grounds. I have come into the possession of a hand drawn map survey of a 418 acre tract of land dated 1855 that belonged to a Crawford Turner- the first elected sherriff of Patrick Co. and colonel of the local militia prior to the War for Southern Independence ( some people refer to this as the Civil War). His land as shown on this map borders William "Billy" Pendleton and Hardin Pendleton's land. This land is still owned by several members of our family today. It is as the base of Lovers Leap. Do you have any updated info on the parents of Robert Pendleton these days. Sure would like to nail this down once and for all. I will try and find out some way to contact Brenda P. and will get back with you if I am successful. I still live in Ferrum, VA in Franklin County- 5762 Turners Creek Road, Ferrum , VA 24088 dohicks@sitestar.net Have a nice Memorial Day weekend! Byron Notify Administrator about this message?
