I read the postings with interest and differ with the surname of Caleb's wife Elizabeth. (This Caleb is the son of James Pendleton and Hannah Goodenow.) I have her as Elizabeth Read, b 22 April 1669, Boston and alive 1733 in Westerly, R.I. She was the dau of William Reade and Ruth Crooke. Note that among Caleb and Elizabeth's children was a daughter named Read/Reed who m John Saunders and a dau Ruth who m 1. Benoni Smith and 2. Benjamin Wilbur.
