Hi,
I am directly related to Henry Pendexter, Sr. line and am also trying to find his father/lineage before him. One clue could be from the "Poindexter" message boards--that a Jacob Poindexter from Isle of Jersey, England came over to Newfoundland (date--don't know) and that his name may have been changed. At any rate, "Pendexters" most likely came from Isle of Jersey and we're prob. all related to Poindexters/Poingdestre somehow or another! Other Poindexter line started out in Virginia. My dad remembers being told that we originated in England and that the original name was something like "Poindgestre". Please let me know if you find out anything about Henry Sr.'s ancestry. Thanks.
