My grandfather, Charles Pendexter Durell was from Oxford. His mother was Sally King Pendexter. Somehow. his Uncle, Hugh Pendexter, mentored him in writing-Hugh wrote Westerns for the Brits for a living-and Charley wrote sailing books for teenagers. He graduated from Bates in 1907 and was a Principal in Hingham, MA and later in Watertown MA.Any information about the Kings, Pendexters or Durells would be appreciated. They seem far and few between although I do know that Hugh's son Faunce, was an editor of the Lewiston-Auburn Sun.

My mother was contacted by a Daniel Watson who wrote the genealogy of his grandmother as part of becoming accepted as a mormon.
Thanks for your help.
