Hello Ruby,
The pictures I have seem to match somewhat to your information, but I have Ben Franklin with wife and three kids. The names on the back of the picture say "Uncle Frank and family... Lloyd, Bernice and Mable (died at age 4)."
The picture was wrapped in a note written by my grandmother Lois Pendergraft (Womnack). The note says that this is "her grandad Frank and grandmother - her two oldest Bernice and Mable and Lloyd the baby while they still lived in Missouri." Lloyd is my grandmother's father. It looks as if Mable and Bernice might have been twins. Mable must have died soon after the picture was taken.
My grandmother died a few years back and these pictures were put away and I had never seen them. Recently my grandad passed away and in the process of going through all the things you go through when grandparents pass, we came across these wonderful pictures. Judging from the notes on the backs of these pictures, it looks as if one of my grandmother's aunts mailed her all these pictures. I also have a picture of a man who seems to be named Milt Atteberry... perhaps Lena's father. I have one very old but in great shape picture of him with a long flowing beard. He looks to be of the age of 55 or so. Then I have another of him at the age of about 70 or so. He is holding a baby and althought the beard is gone, he still has a long flowing moustache. I have a picture of Lena with her three brothers and one sister named Lori I think (hard to read handwriting). One of the brothers is named Tim Atteberry. It says that he was a teacher and an artist.
The best thing by far that I have is a daily devotional book called Alone With God that belonged to Ben Franklin Pendergraft. It has a hand written note inside from him. I'd type it out for you, but this is probably too long as it is. It is a wonderful note though!
I'd like to know when these people were born and who they are. These pictures are just so unreal to me. Let me know what you think!
