my great-grandmother, catherine pender or pendergast was born around 1835 in ballygarvon, co. wexford. around 1860 she married john byrne from co. wexford. john may have been a soldier in the british army who served in nova scotia and in gibraltar. the family eventually settled in gibraltar sometime around 1870.
i would be very grateful for any information on catherine's parents/siblings
