Paul Penders will probated Aug 1748 Bertie Co. listed his daughters, Elizabeth Lee,Rachel Ellis, Mary Lawrence, and Christian Davis. I've been researching this family for many years. Elizabeth married Richard Lee. He or his son Richard sold land in Edgecombe Co. early to a Joseph Pender. I have never found a marriage record for any of Paul's children unless you claim the Joseph who married Faith Ruffin Bridgers.
Paul was in Bertie as early as 1713 when he bought land from Elias Ballard, but he was in Nansemond Co VA 1768 thru 1717.
I have mention of Paul in a land record dated 1717 Nansemond Co. Va as a neighbor to John Lee and John Lee Jr. Near Cypruss swamp of Summerton Creek. If that helps any.
