Thomas Pender, From N.C. to Lawrence Co Ind.1790-1840?
Posted by: William Pender (ID *****2447) Date: November 11, 2002 at 20:02:26

Looking for information. I think Thomas Pender may be the father of William Harvey Pender b. 1827 in Lawrence Co. Ind. In the 1830 census Thomas is the only Pender in Ind. that has a son younger than five yrs. old. In the 1900 census for Laclede Co. Mo. Union twp. it shows that William's father was born in N. C. and his mother in Virginia.
Tracing William Harvey Pender's parents has been a dead end for me for over a year. William was my ggreat grandfather and he died in 1904, his wife died in 1889. Nothing is known about his parents other than they were from N. C. and Virginia. Of the widowed or single Pender mothers of 1850 Ind census none were from Virginia.
If anyone knows of a Thomas Pender from North Carolina that moved to Ind. before 1827 I would appreciate the information.
