Notes from the book "Colonial Families of the United States": Josiah Bryan of "Nonchalance," Wilmington Island, Georgia; b. 22d August, 1746 m. August 14th, 1770, Elizabeth Pendarvis b. May 23rd, 1755, daughter of Josiah Pendarvis and his wife, Mary Bedon of South Carolina; he died in the spring of 1774. Elizabeth Pendarvis Bryan, his widow married a second time to John Screven and had issue. She died April, 1804. Issue of Josiah and Elizabeth Bryan was Joseph b. August 18th, 1773, only child, married Delia Forman and he died in September of 1812. Delia was the daughter of Gen. Thomas M. Forman of Maryland. This is basically quoting from above mentioned book and needs to be verified. Good luck on your search. I am urging each Pendarvis to do their dna through familytree.com to bring all of our lines together for genealogy purposes.
