While the tracing of family descendency is fascinating, we Pendarvis of South La. are more interested in some of the stories associated with the migration west ,like when the Wayne Co. family set out for Texas or when members of the Florida family escaped an indian attack on their home. How about when Ike Starns was shot down on the main street of Hammond ,La.? The Pendarvis of South La. are known for their physical durability and toughness and for over a hundred years have been well respected for their athletic and hunting skills. Are there any similarities in other lines ?
