Nope, not Singular Augustus.

STEWART ADDISON PENCE was born 15 Apr 1839 or 15 Mar 1840 in Monroe County, West Virginia; died 15 Dec 1864 in Monroe County, buried in Pence Cemetery, Union, Monroe County; he enlisted 26 Mar 1862 in Monroe County as a private; and mustered into C Company, 30th Battalion, Virginia SharpShooters, Confederate Army; he was listed as: sick 31 Oct 1862 at Red Sulphur Spring Hospl, West Virginia; on rolls 31 Dec 1862 (place not stated); on rolls 28 Feb 1863 (place not stated); detailed 15 Apr 1863 to arrest deserters in Mercer County and Giles County, West Virginia; returned 30 Apr 1863 (place not stated; hospitalized 27 Jan 1864 at White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; transferred 31 Mar 1864 Emory, Virginia, Hospital (Sick, no further record.
