Thanks for your prompt reply.It's interesting to see the spelling of the family name changed through the generations from Pembroke to Pembrook.In my research, Jeremiah spelled it both ways.When did your ancestors leave Ottawa, Illinois?Do you know if there are any Pembroke descendants in that area now?Jeremiah, Rose and their two daughters moved to Minneapolis in 1888. We have located Jeremiah's and Rose's unmarked graves in a cemetery there. Rose died in 1892 and Jeremiah in 1902.Jeremiah's older daughter Leora (Laura) married Doran Mosier in Livingston County, Illinois in 1872.Daughter Amanda's married name was Gross and Ursula's married name was Stevens.
Jeremiah was married to Rachel Springer in 1841 and to Rose Robinett in 1862.
