Sarah Pelton b. 1822 NY d/o Alfred & Abigail "Abbey"

anyone looking for Sarah? possibly known as Sally

parents Alfred Pelton b. about 1791, Abigail b. about 1806

(if trees posted at Ancestry are correct, this is second wife Abbey Ingraham Shoemaker)

digging in censuses, chasing the Torrance/Torrence family, and found Sarah Pelton married to John W. Torrance; they're in Jerusalem NY in 1850 (with her family), in Cameron NY in 1860, in York, Sandusky, OH in 1870, and in Junction City, Davis KS in 1885

I'm hoping to come up with some documentation to connect John W. Torrance, born 1816-1826 NY, with the family of William Henry Torrance and Saloma Dains (both surnames spelled various ways, including Terrance and Daynes and Dean)

I have no information on them other than what's listed in the censuses; their children appear to be Lafayette (married Ida), Frank, and Charles

Sarah's siblings seem to be Jane Eliza (married B. F. Roselle) and James A. (married Matilda)

Candy
