The author of the Illinois State Constitution, he served as U.S. Senator from Illinois 1825-35. The 1840 Federal Census lists a Felente P. Kane in Randolph County ; the 1850 Federal Census lists Felicité Kane in Randolph’s Township 7 S R 7 W.
