Hello,
I saw your inquiry on the Harrisons and Pelots. I recently came across a book published in 1917 by Agnes Beville of Boston, MA,"The Beville Family" which discusses several of her family lines. Mentioned in this book was my 3X-grandmother,Eliza Chisolm Pelot Harrison. She was born ca 1805 in near Darien, McIntosh County, GA. She married Daniel Vaughan (ca1800-1857)around 1825, and they moved to Nassau County, Florida. According to this book, her parents were Horace Jesse Harrison and Mary Martha Pelot, the daughter of James Pelot and Elizabeth Chisolm.James Pelot was the son of Rev. Francis Pelot of Granville County, SC. according to this book, the parents of Horace Jesse Harrison were William Harrison and a Miss Gignilliat. william Harrison was also a native of Granville County, SC and moved to Mcintoch County, GA after the Revolyionary War. Do any of these names ring a bell? I am trying at this time to check the accuracy of this book, but at least it is a starting point. will be glad to share info. Horace Jesse Harrsion died in 1816 in Georgia, and served in War of 1812.
